Itinerary

  • Day 01 – Arrive into Helsinki. Enjoy guided city tour of Helsinki. On arrival into Helsinki, we check out from the cruise and proceed on a guided city tour by driving past the city’s busy harbor and shipyards and down the coastal road by Embassy Park, seeing the colourful open-air market, you will see Senate Square, home to an elegant Lutheran Cathedral, as well as Esplanadi, a popular shopping avenue where many designer shops are located. Visit the Sibelius Monument dedicated to the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. The tour will also take you down Mannerheim Street – Helsinki’s main street, to see the impressive Parliament building, the National Museum and Finlandia Hall; Alvar alto designed this beautiful concert hall and convention centre . Later see the Olympic Stadium Helsinki constructed for its hosting of the 1952 Olympic Games. During your sightseeing tour of Helsinki you will also see the unique Rock Church which was built out of solid rock and capped with a copper dome. (Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner)
 
  • Day 02 -Ferry to Tallinn. Visit Kadriorg Palace. Enjoy Guided tour of Tallinn. Arrive into Tallinn ferry terminal. Tallinn is the oldest capital in Northern Europe showed in the map in 1154 by Arabian geographer Al-Idrisi. Enjoy lunch. Proceed to visit the Kadriorg Palace. Later enjoy a private walking tour in the UNESCO heritage listed Tallinn Old Town. During the tour, explore Holy Spirit Church, the 600 years old Gothic Town Hall, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the world`s oldest functioning Pharmacy on Town Hall Square and the 159 meters high Oleveste Church which was the highest structure in the world in the 16th century. Visit Toompea Hill for breathtaking views over the city. Toompea Castle was built in the 13th and 14th centuries and is the seat of Estonia`s parliament. (Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner)
 
  • Day 03- Proceed to Riga. Guided tour of the city. Visit the Riga Cathedral. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Riga. Enjoy a private walking tour through Riga Old Town seeing remarkable sites like St.Peter’s Church with its famous rooster, St.Jacobs Church, Dom Square and Dom Cathedral, home to one of the world’s most valuable historic organs. The Powder Tower and city walls will make you feel the breath of the medieval. See the oldest stone residential dwellings in Riga, the Three Brothers, the Great and Small Guilds, and the fortification wall of Riga with the Swedish Gate the last surviving gate in the wall. Later will introduce you to the intriguing story of the Cat House and show you Town Hall Square with the beautiful and elegant Blackheads House. The tour will continue to Riga Castle, the Parliament, the Monument of Liberty and fantastic Riga`s Opera House. (Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner)
 
  • Day 04- Visit the Ethnography Museum. Visit the Sigulda Castle. After breakfast at the hotel, this morning proceed to the ethnographic open air museum. The museum was founded in 1924, but the ancient buildings that were moved here, re-installed and furnished were opened to the public in the summer of 1932. Today, 87 hectares of farmsteads, craftsmen’s houses-workshops, windmills, blacksmiths, potters and tar kilns typical of Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme and Latgale are located on an area of 87 hectares. Later drive to Sigulda and proceed through Art Nouveau district. Riga is like a museum of architecture, covering periods from Gothic to Classicism. But the real treasure of the city is the largest and best-preserved collection of Art Nouveau buildings in the world. This fact was corroborated by UNESCO in 1997 and now the central section of Riga is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Riga is sometimes called the “capital” of Art Nouveau thanks to the heritage of 800 buildings of Art Nouveau. Sigulda is a place where the beauty of nature is an integral part of the town. It is situated on a picturesque stretch of the Gauja River Valley and is known as the “Switzerland of Vidzeme” because of the reddish Devonian sandstone which forms rocks and caves on both banks of the river. The town is particularly beautiful on clear autumn days because of the rich range of colours in the trees. We continue on a tour which will highlight historic monuments, natural objects and attractions like Sigulda Livonian castle ruins, Turaida Medieval Castle built in 1214, the wooden church built in 1750, and a sculpture garden dedicated to Latvian folklore on Dainu Hill, Gutmanis Cave – the highest cave in the Baltic states, measuring 19m deep, 12m wide and 10m high, is not only a natural wonder, but also a place steeped in myths and legends.   • Day 05- Proceed to Vilnius. Visit Trakai Castle. Guided tour of Vilnius. This morning after breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Vilnius. First visit Trakai where you will have lunch and then proceed on a tour of the Trakai Castle. Trakai town is situated lies on a narrow cape between 3 lakes, and it is famous for impressive Trakai Castle. Trakai and Trakai Castle are important to Lithuanian history. Associated with Grand Duke Gediminas, a medieval Lithuanian hero, Trakai rose to importance before the Grand Duchy of Lithuania joined with Poland. The area began to develop in the 1400s with its castle as the center of the action, though the area saw human habitation long before these permanent structures were built. Later proceed to Vilnius. Enjoy a tour in historic Vilnius Old Town, one of the largest old towns in North-Eastern Europe. Visiting the most important sights like Cathedral Square with the Dome Church and Clock-Tower, St. Anne’s Church, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University, the Gates of Dawn with the holy image of the Virgin Mary. Vilnius is often called a Baroque city. However, the ruins of castles, narrow streets, church spires, bell towers, red tile roofs, and residential cellars testify that Vilnius has had major influence from the Gothic style. In the 16th century Gothic became intertwined with Renaissance, and in the 17th – 18th-century Baroque buildings started to appear. (Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner)
 
  • Day 06- Proceed to Warsaw. Breakfast at the hotel, later check out and drive to Warsaw. Lunch will be enroute. Today you will enter the Polish capital of Warsaw which lies to the east central part of Poland. Also called the Paris of the north, it is the countries Cultural, political and economical hub. It has the beautiful Old town which is a UNESCO World heritage site. On arrival proceed for dinner. (Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner)
 
  • Day 07- Guided city tour of Warsaw. Free time at the UNESCO Heritage Old town. This morning proceed on a guided tour of Warsaw. See the impressive New Town and Palace of Culture and Science, a symbol of the city’s former communist government. Take note of the Soviet-era architecture at Constitution Square and examine the housing blocks as you hear more about the city’s period of communist rule. Later explore the Old town and learn about its construction after World War II. After lunch proceed to the Castle Square and Old town square for some free time. Later this evening after dinner proceed back to your hotel. (Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner)
